Marlene Woodfield (LaPorte, IN)

Marlene is a retired pre-school teacher. She has been quilting since 1976 and is known for both her landscape and facial imagery quilts. Her quilt “THE QUILTERS” with imagery of 9 quilting friends won Best of Show at the 1994 Charleston, West Virginia NQA show.

She is a member of the Professional Art Quilt Alliance, Glen Elyn, Illinois and also the String-A-Long Quilt Guild of Porter, LaPorte and Lake Counties in Northern Indiana. Both organizations are supporters of AAQI.

Marlene says she is thrilled to be a part of the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative and enjoys making the priority quilts to raise funds to eradicate this terrible disease.
