The Uncommon Threads Quilt Guild (http://www.ucquilts.com/) is based in southwest Tennessee. Many of our members live in Memphis, Collierville, Cordova, Germantown, and Bartlett. We also have quite a few members from the neighboring cities of Olive Branch and Southaven, Mississippi, plus some from even farther away!
The guild represents all levels of skill and experience and creates quilts ranging from primitive to traditional to art. What is common with these uncommon quilters is the love of sharing quilting with others.
They chose AAQI as their community service to honor friends and family who have been stricken as well as Libby Swanson, a vital member of the guild, who was taken by this horrible disease at a young age. They hope that their efforts will make a difference in the battle against Alzheimer's disease.
