The Tri-County Quilt Guild in Cypress, TX came up with a terrific challenge for their involvement in the Priority: Alzheimer's Quilt project. Back in August of 2007 they challenged their membership to make donation quilt. In order to encourage participation, the guild featured the little quilts on display as part of a tour of some of our members’ studios, followed by a formal Afternoon Tea. Ribbons were awarded by Amanda Goldstein, from a local Alzheimer's organization. All the attendees left with a feeling of accomplishment for the work they put into their Priority Alzheimer’s quilts.
Thirty-two quilts were donated from this 100-member guild which was only about 18 months old at the time.
Well done, Tri-County Quilters!
