Statement: I’m making my pledge in memory of my mother, Helen Hoevel. She lost her battle with Alzheimer's in 1995. During her lifetime she enjoyed sewing and making beautiful appliqué quilts. She passed on to me the love of sewing and quilt making and I can’t think of a better way to work toward the cure than using the craft my mother so enjoyed.
