*On January 2, 2008 the AAQI became a Michigan nonprofit corporation. Since that time we have earned approximately $14,984.06 in profit. Here's how the numbers shake out:

Please note: we have not yet paid ALL our bills, the big one from the lawyer to help us set up the nonprofit and to fill out the forms for our 501(c)(3) has not come in yet. Neither have some other bills. When we get our (hands clasped, looking towards Heaven) tax-exempt status we will determine how much we can donate to Alzheimer's research without compromising the safety of the AAQI, and which research organizations will receive the funding. So far we're off to a GREAT start!

- Sherry Whitford (Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, February 2007)

- Flyer-printers, Sticker-printers, Pipe Bootie Makers, Skrunchie Sewers and quilters to rollup their sleeves to help.
- The White Glove Brigade & Quilt Police, giving hugs and keeping the quilts safe.
