The Name Quilts are part of "Alzheimer's Illustrated: From Heartbreak to Hope," the AAQI's current traveling exhibit. They are long and narrow quilted banners of remembrance, containing more than 10,000 names of people lost to Alzheimer's. Each has approximately 55 patches. They form a memorial wall honoring the 5.4 million Americans who have Alzheimer's.
Names were written by family members and friends of those who have or had Alzheimer's or a related dementia.
Find the name of your loved one and view videos of each quilt at www.TheNameQuilts.wordpress.com. Please visit this site to search for names of those you or your family may have contributed.
Name quilts not already auctioned will be offered for sale in the Fall of 2013. Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts in the exhibit will be auctioned during the months of October and December.
