Width: 23"   Length: 23"

Designer: Created using a class project taught by Lynda Milligan and Nancy Smith of The Great American Quilt Company. Used with written permission.

Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics; Steam-a-Seam 2 Lite, machine applique using Sulky Blendables thread.

Artist's Statement:After arriving at the 2006 Nashville AQS show, I transferred into Nancy and Lynda's class at the last minute, arrived without any real preparation, learned, laughed, and expanded the original class project into this small quilt. Dedication: In honor of the Alzheimer's Association: the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer research. (In 2006, the Association commited nearly $21 million to research initiatives. Since awarding its first grants in 1982, the Association has funded more than $200 million in projects.) Research is truly at "the heart of the matter."

This quilt has a plain back.

This quilt earned $70.00 for Alzheimer's research.
