Statement: When Ami came to our quilt guild meeting several years ago, she had some of her mom's stamped, dyed animals that needed to be made into little quilts. I took several, sent them back, and asked for several more. That was the start of a very endearing friendship with Ami.
Alzheimer's disease has touched my family, but I was not at an age to really understand the consequences. With my church friends and others now, I watch as their families have to adjust to the changes in their loved ones brought on by this terrible disease. So, now I quilt in hope that a cure may be found.
