Materials/Techniques: 100% cotton, original hand-dyed fabric. The appliqué is snips of fabric which are not fused. They are held in place by large stitches that create additional texture. It is free-motion machine quilted with high sheen polyester thread.

Artist Statement: As sunset moves to twilight and then to darkness, vigilant sentinels stand guard.

Dedication: Throughout 2012 my 85 year old father's memory loss has progressed significantly. I dedicate this quilt to him and to my mother who keeps watch over him.

This quilt has a Split Sleeve.
