Width: 20.5" Length: 23.5"
Materials/Techniques: Printed fussy cut domestic cottons; rayon thread and 100 wt. silk thread for machine quilting, embellished with silk ribbon, Czech crystal beads and Swarovski hot fix crystals. The binding is corded. The label is printed on the computer and embellished with machine embroidery floral motifs. I feel honored to have the responsibility of making one of the autograph quilts. I love fussy cutting and wanted to use this technique on this quilt. Because the center autograph panel was an odd size, I used 1/4" graph paper to design the pieced borders.
Artist Statement: Fifty-nine quilting luminaries autographed the center block of this quilt at the International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2010.
