Materials/Techniques: Hand dye-painted cottons, machine quilted.

Artist Statement: During a recent trip to Australia, I saw trees within the rain forest that were totally surrounded and overgrown with vines. These vines eventually smother the tree. This quilt is called "Hollow" because, at the end, the original tree is no longer there.
