Offset cost of hosting the exhibit and increase attendance
Partnering with members of your community is a way to offset costs associated with hosting the exhibit. Sharing expenses in return for recognition as a sponsor helps with the bottom line and allows local businesses to share in the prestige of bringing a relevant and educational exhibit to the area. They gain exposure in a sector (quilting) they may not have explored yet. Offer to put informative brochures describing their goods and services at the information table to sweeten the deal. Suggest that they invite their staff and the people they serve to visit the exhibit and your attendance goes up giving you an opportunity to help families who are struggling with Alzheimer's to find hope.

If you are afraid to call because you might get turned down, don't be. One in three people knows someone with Alzheimer's disease and for one in ten, the person they know is a family member. Sadly the odds are that you will find someone at the other end of the phone who knows how important this is.
