Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative selected "Charity of the Day"
(BURTON, MI-- September 9, 2009) From among the 82,000 nonprofits listed on the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI) was selected to be the Charity of the Day on Friday, September 4, 2009.

GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. GoodSearch estimates that each Web search will generate approximately $0.01 for designated charities. Image, video, Yellow Pages, and site-specific searches are not included.

"This is like free money!" said Debbie Chenail, Treasurer of the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. "If every AAQI supporter searched for just two things a day for a year, we could fund another research grant!"

To support the AAQI, type "Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative" into the "Who Do You GoodSearch For?" area of the web site. Then click VERIFY. The web page will add "(Burton, MI)" and all subsequent searches will earn the AAQI a donation. (same web page) has teamed up with more than 1,300 stores including Amazon, Best Buy, and PetSmart to offer discounts and coupons to online shoppers. With "Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative" selected a percentage of each order made through will be donated to AAQI as well. AAQI supporters are urged to download the new Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative toolbar from here. Every web search and every online purchase from participating businesses earns another small donation for AAQI.
