Members of the Free Spirit Quilt Guild
, were impressed with the small Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts made by fellow member, Nancy Leech. During "Show & Tell," Nancy told of her participation in the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative. She shared information about how money was being raised for Alzheimer's research.
Since many members have family members and friends who have been affected by the disease, the guild selected the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative as the beneficiary of their 2011 quilt challenge. Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts donated by the group are listed below.
Free Spirit Quilt Guild was organized in 2003 and meets in Sagertown, PA. It boasts a membership of 60 quilters. Their mission is to futher the understanding of quilting, to promote fellowship through the sharing of knowledge and talents, and to participate in projects that benefit the community.
