Circle in the Square Quilters
of St Louis, MO have created Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts on two separate occasions for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative, first in 2010 and then again in 2011.
A guild member first challenged the group to donate quilts the first time. Later, a new set of Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts were made. Before they were registered they were hung in the guild's Biennial Quintessential Quilt Show in the gallery space of the University City Public Library. The quilts showed the art side of quilting and the service side of their guild. There was, by happenstance, a display of art made by a local Alzheimer's therapy program during the quilt show.
Our commitment to the Priority: Alzheimer's Quilt project is ongoing.
