Ami Simms (Flint, MI) is our Founder and Executive Director. She is also the Co-curator of "Alzheimer's Illustrated: From Heartbreak to Hope" and curated "Alzheimer's: Forgetting Piece by Piece," which is now retired. She maintains the non-quilt portion of the AAQI web page. She is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the AAQI as well as "the big picture."
Susan Pain (Houston, TX) along with Kathy Kennedy-Dennis, is part of the Houston support team when the AAQI visits the International Quilt Festival. Susan had family members with Alzheimer's and dementia.
Debbie Chenail (Swartz Creek, MI) is our Treasurer. She is also the shipping liaison with Mallery Press, Inc. who handles fulfillment for items ordered on this web page. Debbie's mother is a quilter.
Niki Gottesman (Jupiter, FL) is a new quilter and our researcher. She also uploads quilt information and quilt photographs to the web site. Niki's aunt has Alzheimer's.
Kathy Kennedy Dennis (Houston, TX) is our on-call quilter, and along with Susan Pain she is part of the Houston support team when the AAQI visits the International Quilt Festival. Kathy's mother-in-law had dementia.
Jennie Simms (Kalamazoo, MI) is our scientific research "consultant." Her grandmother had Alzheimer's.
Beth Hartford (Wadsworth, IL) is our Secretary. She also receives quilt registration data from quilt donors, builds web pages for donated quilts, emails donor with quilt numbers, and archives HTML coding. Beth's father had Alzheimer's.
Diane Petersmarck (Evanston, IL) receives shipped quilts, emails donor acknowledgements, creates digital quilt images and uploads to web site, uploads $1,000 Promise and Quilt-A-Month data to web page, updates auction pages, moves quilts from one page to another when sold, and is the go-to person for all web page related emergencies. Diane's father had Alzheimer's.
