Bloomington Quilters Guild (Bloomington, IN)

Every year the Bloomington Quilters Guild has a group challenge. The winner of the previous challenge gets to decide what the next years challenge will be. Since I won last year, I picked the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI) for the 2011- 2012 challenge. I thought it was the perfect way to unleash creativity in our group.

Priority: Alzheimer's Quilts are quick because of the size limitation: not larger than 9" x 12".

I originally set a deadline for all the quilts to be submitted by the June 2012 meeting when my challenge ends. After my experience with AAQI and learning that 100% of the profits go to fund Alzheimer's research, now I am thinking the challenge will end when a cure is found.
