Materials/Techniques: Paper pieced using my stash of material from left-over projects, and then machine quilted.

Artist Statement: This quilt signifies that a long married life is filled with a "patchwork" of highs and lows. Our marriage of 53 years is filled with many, many highs and we are blessed with three wonderful daughters, three fantastic sons-in-law and seven terrific grandchildren. Unfortunately, we are now experiencing the "low" is our life as my husband is suffering with Alzheimer's and is now a resident at a health care facility.
