Inge and Nicole Beidleman
Elizabethtown, PA USA
Width: 9" Length: 10.75"
Designer: Nicole Beidleman, Original ArtMaterials/Techniques: The figures are fused, then hand-quilted onto the backing and the horizontal lines are also hand quilted.
Artist Statement: My Grandmother, who is always quilting for good causes asked me for an original piece of art. I am 14 yrs. old now and looking through my art portfolio, this picture jumped out. It is symbolic for Alzheimers with the shadow of the figure peeking out from behind. The simple design, bright colored, as well as the raised arm symbolize hope. The buttons my grandmother & I collected together on one of our craft outings represent fleeting thoughts that cannot be recollected.
