Artist Statement: Our guild is in Gloucester, Virginia. One of our members lives in Alaska. She still participates! A few months ago she did the Block of the Month with all fabrics that represent Alaska. I won the BOM, yeah. With the scraps I put this little quilt together. The Whale Tail is reverse appliqué with wool. It is a design from one of the batiks.
