9913 - Dragonfly Out the Window ($50)

Materials/Techniques: Cottons, ink tense pencils, embroidery, tulle, Angelina, thread painting, wool and paints. A little bit of everything went into this one. The dragonfly was drawn, watercolor penciled, thread painted and outlined with embroidery stitches. I layered it with batting and backing, covered with tulle and quilted it. Then I cut it out and stitched it to the blue flannel background and quilted that. The window panes were added, then binding.

Artist Statement: A colorful dragonfly just passing by the window on a bright blue day!
