Width: 8.5" Length: 11"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton, cotton blends, cotton batting, Aurifil thread, machine pieced and quilted with a hand-sewn binding. I do not know the content of the materials and embroidery threads in the center medallion.
Artist Statement: My brother purchased a number of hand-made needle-turn appliqué pieces made by Hmong artists in Los Angeles, California in 1984. He did not know what to do with them, but recently forwarded them to me and we decided to make them into mini quilts for AAQI in honor of the unknown Hmong women who created the medallions.
Dedication: Dedicated to the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative research project.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $46.19 for the AAQI.
