Hibbing, MN USA
Width: 9" Length: 11.25"
Materials/Techniques: Cotton, cotton blends, cotton batting, Aurifil threads, machine pieced and quilted with a hand-sewn binding. I do not know the content of the materials and embroidery threads used in the center medallion.
Artist Statement: My brother purchased a number of hand-made needle-turn pieces made by Hmong artists in Los Angeles, California in 1984 and didn't know what to do with them. He forwarded them to me recently, and we decided to create mini quilts to showcase these little "works of art" by unknown Hmong women.
Dedication: To the Dick and Margaret Scott family, Riverside, California.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
This quilt earned $46.19 for the AAQI.
