Materials/Techniques: Cotton, rayon chiffon, gold/silver lamé, black Kona cotton, cotton batting, machine pieced and quilted with a hand-sewn binding.

Artist Statement: My online Mahjongg friend sent me her sister's traditional Vietnamese Ao'Dai' costume, which was taken apart and made into mini quilts. Six people in her family have succumbed to the ravages of Alzheimer’s. It was a challenge to produce these little memorials to her and her family. The pattern is loosely based upon a flic-flac block, but modified to fit the mini format.
