Materials/Techniques: With my husband's help, I designed a maze. I then chose cotton fabrics of 1 1/2 inch width to represent the paths through the maze. I quilted in the ditch around the blocks and a wandering path along the maze route, ending in 'no way out' at the end.

Artist Statement: This quilt is in memory of Ed Friel, my brother in law. I asked my sister what image would represent his disease and she said a maze with no way out, so that is what I tried to create.

Dedication: To Ed Friel, 1930-2010.
