Materials/Techniques: A colorful fabric that gradually changes colors from edge to edge gave all the color needed. One inch squares are arranged to cascade down changing colors as they go. Wavy quilting is in bright yellow thread to represent the sun's rays.

Artist Statement: I've been making large quilts with white backgrounds and am loving the crisp look. It made sense to try it in miniature.
