Materials/Techniques: The pieced background is embellished with an appliquéd red apple and hand embroidered words “an (apple) for the teacher”. The background rectangles are hand quilted with large red thread. Numerous buttons and a charm apple add the finishing touches.

Artist Statement: Teaching children and young people useful information and life skills requires love and dedication. These important people are often taken for granted and underappreciated. This quilt gives teachers a 'pat on the back'. Thanks to all teachers!
