Materials/Techniques: Quilters cotton fabrics have been pieced together in the "crazy quilt" method, cotton batting and backing are brought together with lots of fancy machine stitching. Cotton binding isapplied and stitched by machine.

Artist Statement: I started making AAQI quilts in January 2012 just 3 weeks after major hand surgery. I did not want to put my quilt making on hold for the entire year of physical therapy I will need to do before I will have full use of it again. Making AAQI quilts is now my PT mentally as well as physically.

Dedication: Remembering the sunny days with my Mother-in-law Lena Sorbo before Alzheimer's took her memories. Also to my sister-in-law, Marie Boutot for all her fund raising efforts in the name of Alzheimer's.
