Materials/Techniques: Stitched canvas, acrylic paint, machine-pieced cotton fabrics, hand-sewn natural stone beads.

Artist Statement: I painted lightweight canvas by making impressions with autumn maple and oak leaves. They came out pretty and lacy. When I cut the canvas into shapes like banners and added the little confetti squares of color, it looked like a stage curtain rising for a spectacular performance, which is how autumn often feels to me.
