Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced, hand appliquéd, rick-rack fabric glued down.

Artist Statement: This mini was made from leftover HST's from other projects. A vintage Sunbonnet Sue purchased 40+ years ago was used as a focal point. I loved the blocks I originally chose for this mini but the 1/2" HST's were too small. So in making larger blocks, I discovered I had to replace fabrics for 3/4 of the quilt but what I found was close enough to the original design. This was made in hopes of bringing joy to those who will see it and know there is a brighter day on the horizon!
