Artist Statement: A butterfly represents a gentle flowing existence. The color in this butterfly represents the occasional glimmer of hope that anyone suffering from Alzheimer’s finds in a memory or thought that brings them a fleeting moment of joy and happiness.

Dedication: This is a special dedication to MaryAnne Mawhorr and Alzheimer’s patients and their families who have had their lives changed by the disease. This dedication is also to the volunteers who support them. My hope is that MaryAnne and her family can have an occasional glimmer of hope.
