Materials/Techniques: Commercial cotton fabric, wool batting, cotton thread and metallic gold embroidery floss was used. Construction is a pineapple block using Gyleen Fitgerald's Pineapple Ruler. Micro-stippling black-on-black; peony and leaves outlined to give trapunto effect; miniature piping; and hand-embroidered Pekin knots in gold metallic embroidery floss for stamen.

Artist Statement: I made this quilt in honor of those whose efforts are dedicated to finding a cure for Alzheimer's so that memories may be preserved by those who are afflicted and hold those memories precious.
