Materials/Techniques: I love making collage-style fish in the style of Susan Carlson. Madame Mango has tulle over her to make her sparkle and beads were added to fancy her up a bit more.

Artist Statement: On the day my husband was being air lifted from his job site in Mozambique in critical condition, I needed something to occupy my mind while I waited for word that he made it safely. Madame Mango took about 8 hours to make and kept me from going crazy that day. I am grateful my husband will be okay and will come home to me. Life is hard in Africa.
