Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: This quilt is made with some silk pieces that were sent to me from Japan as well dupioni silk and vintage lace. The embellishments consist of hand embroidery, beads, ribbon and buttons. The centerpiece, as well as the inspiration, is a lovely machine embroidered floral spray given to me by Debra Spincic. It is hand quilted.
Artist Statement: This piece came about as I was practicing hand embroidery for the Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge and working on ideas for the Crazy Quilt Journal Project.
