Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabrics, organza butterflies, embroidered handkerchief, free motion quilting, pieced and raw-edge appliqué.

Artist Statement: My beloved mother-in-law, Violet, was stricken with Alzheimer's and slowly drifted away from all the things she loved. Using materials she had chosen for a quilt I made for her, as well as additional fabrics purchased at her local quilt shop and one of her handkerchiefs, this quilt is a tribute to the wonderful woman who was "Ma."

Dedication: Dedicated to Violet's children and grandchildren.
