Materials/Techniques: Pressed foliage on muslin, commercially hand-dyed fabric border, machine quilting, hand beading.

Artist Statement: Several years ago, I took a mini workshop on flower pressed fabrics. I'm not sure what kind of plant this sprig came from, but it was definitely from my backyard in Sedona, AZ. I was enchanted by the colors that spilled onto the fabric - browns, golds, greens, and turquoise. When I joined the Quilt-A-Month Challenge, I knew immediately what I had been saving this for. I love the way the colors of the border and beads mirror the plant dye. I hope this brings a sense of tranquility and joy to its new owner.
