Artist Statement: Polly was my wonderful mother-in-law. I watched Alzheimer’s slowly take her away from herself and those she loved. Kitties were among the many things she loved, so when I found this scrap in her fabric stash, I knew what its purpose should be. Polly would be thrilled to know this kitty has a new home with a fellow quilter!

Dedication: For Pauline Johnson Oliver, a beautiful person who is dearly missed.
