Materials/Techniques: Made with batiks and the blocks are set on point. Quilted in an overall half-inch grid with clear thread.

Artist Statement: This is the second AAQI quilt I have made with this pattern. The first was Crown of Thorns, which is a old and well-known name of the block, but it is also called Wedding Ring. Instead of the black background I used on the first quilt, this one has a light, creamy shade, more appropriate for weddings.
