Materials/Techniques: Traditionally pieced center block with 84 pieces in it. The color scheme is taken from the print fabric and the "stones" are made with two batiks, then I quilted with clear thread.

Artist Statement: The center block is my take on several other traditional blocks, but not quite like any of them, although the differences are small, like color placement or moving a half square triangle a turn. The name is mainly given to it because of the flowered print and the "paving stone" inner border.
