Materials/Techniques: Made of cottons, template free appliqué.

Artist Statement: When I began quilting, I was told that template free appliqué was the easy way to appliqué. I did not know how to appliqué, so I took the template free class. I heard lots of grumbling in the class about how others wished that they had learned this method first! Five years later I took a refresher class with an instructor, Jean Knowlton, that I had heard great things about. She is great and I still like appliqué!
