Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced, fusible appliqué and quilted with 100% cotton fabrics and thread, single-fold binding, polyester and silk batting.

Artist Statement: By the time my mother-in-law was diagnosed, there were already pieces of her missing. How to express that gradual loss? Some days the changes were hardly noticeable; others showed huge gaps. She remained beautiful to me, like the flower gradually losing its petals.
