Claire Rohloff
Bloomsbury, NJ USA
Width: 11.5" Length: 9"
Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: Cotton fabric, metallic and cotton thread/paper pieced, embroidered and quilted.
Artist Statement: Fonts and letters make interesting design elements. I designed the letters with different characteristics such as short and tall to spell out Alzheimer's. Using paper piecing for the basis of the design, I pieced the letters and embroidered with gold metal. This quilt was made as part of the 2011 Challenge for Courthouse Quilters Guild of Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Recently, a few of our members have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s so we thought it was important to help fund research.
Dedication: For my mother, Margaret Rohloff.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
