Artist Statement: Butterflies are traditionally the Christian symbol of hope. Monarchs migrate south in the fall and return in the spring to continue their life cycle. With needle and thread we hope to find a cure for those with Alzheimer’s so that they too will continue enjoying their lives with their loved ones.
Dedication: I am honored to dedicate this quilt to Richard Baldauf. Mary Pat Baldauf blogged a very moving tribute to her father who recently lost his struggle with Lewy Body dementia related to Alzheimer's. You can read it on her blog.
