Materials/Techniques: Cotton fabric embellished with Angelina Fibers.

Artist Statement: I fused Angelina Fibers to form fireworks, then stitched in a spiral pattern and background stippled with variegated thread. Even though fireworks burn brightly, they last only a few seconds. We must keep our embers burning brightly for as long as we are given.
