Materials/Techniques: Fusible appliqué, free-motion quilting.

Artist Statement: After seeing some of my mom’s quilts, my high school graphic design teacher created a unique assignment for me to make a “quilt” on the computer. I used photographs of fabric to create a “photo appliqué” rose in Photoshop. That project inspired my first attempt at creating a real rose quilt. I created a series of three, but left them unfinished for a little while, until I recently decided to quilt and bind them for the AAQI.
