Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: The anchor cross and the word “hope” in gold lame' on a medium/dark purple batik are bordered with gold rick rack and purple binding. Gold sliver thread outlines the lame'. The background is stippled in matching thread.
Artist Statement: The Christian symbol of the anchor cross reminds us of the hope we have in Christ. In this quilt, the anchor cross reminds me of the hope we have in conquering Alzheimer's through research. May that time come soon!
