Artist Statement: Fishing is an activity that many participate in as children and continue as adults and there is no greater thrill than seeing the fish leap out of the water and hoping it does not break the line. Fishing is an activity that many Alzheimer’s patients enjoy. The Lutheran Home where my mother-in-law lived had a stocked pond for the patients. The look on their faces when they hooked a fish was priceless.
