Materials/Techniques: Machine pieced and quilted, ink and crayon, cotton and batik fabrics, batting and threads.

Artist Statement: This was a challenge that the members of the West Houston Quilters Guild participated in.

Dedication: This quilt is in memory of my mother, Wilma Henley. She was from Utah where the seagull is the state bird. She loved the imagery of the seagull soaring high in the sky, and wore a necklace with a small seagull pendant the last few years of her life.

This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.

This quilt earned $65 for the AAQI.
