Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: Lace is from the cuffs of a blouse and backing the cuffs is a piece of fabric paper made and given to me by the lovely Fannie Narte. Lightly batted with felt, I quilted around the circles in the lace and laid a strip of blouse fabric down to cover the center where the two cuffs meet. I wanted to keep the lace edges intact, so I backed the whole thing with a piece of fabric covered Timtex.
Artist Statement: Recycle, reuse, renew - all three! This lace was on a blouse given to me by a friend who searches out vintage material and gives me scraps (in this case, the blouse sleeves). The cuffs were so lovely, I just had to de-construct them and re-purpose them!

Dedication: To my Dad (1927-2010) who kept lots of little bits of this and that (and some big bits too!) in case it might someday become useful.
