Designer: Original designMaterials/Techniques: Cotton fabric, batting and thread.
Artist Statement: Recently, I learned that a friend of mine is caring for two parents with Alzheimer's. I cannot imagine the heartache and stress that she must be going through. I had to do something to help. This quilt is for her father.
Dedication: For Vernon "Barney" Kuxhaus, a retired chiropractor. Vernon trained as an Air Force pilot in the 1940's. He loved flying and still enjoys any reference to flying in that era. He has been suffering with Alzheimer's for about 10 years now and only feels at home when his wife, Nelvia is in his sight and seems to take comfort in his daughter Karen's presence.
This quilt has Fast Finish Triangles.
